Qatar – Who owns the 60 hectares where the Mater Olbia Hospital is located? Alessandro Marini had to be ousted through a criminal action which, in some respects, is backfiring against the accusers, so much so that the story has registered yet another chapter.
Yesterday, in fact, the criminal trial titled 1093/15 was held at the Court of Tempio Pausania, where the President of the Criminal Section, Dr. Tesi, admitted the list of texts presented by the lawyers of the Sardinian Manager. All created, of course, to counter the ownership of the 60 hectares purchased by Marini, originally, on the land on which the private hospital structure financed by the Emir of Qatar’s family stands.
In this regard, it is essential to take into account that the trial in question began in 2015, with an accusation of attempted extortion by Alessandro Marini against Qatar and, consequently, the Al Thani family. It cannot be excluded, however, that yesterday’s hearing could take a bad turn at a diplomatic level for the Sardinian manager’s accusers.
9 witnesses will be summoned by the Italian Criminal Court, including the Emir of Qatar Thamin Althani, his mother Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned, plus other prominent figures from the galaxy of the Qatariot emirate. A novelty not to be overlooked is represented by the fact that the requests of the lawyer were rejected. Angelo Merlini representing SHRP srl, managed, in fact, by Lucio Rispo, a company headed by the Al Thani family
Naturally, at the end of the hearing, Marini’s lawyers expressed great satisfaction, highlighting, among other things, that international notifications will soon be launched through the Qatari embassy in Rome.
According to Italian law, Thamin Althani will have to appear in court, otherwise he will be considered in default and if he is in Italy he will not be able to use the diplomatic shield as head of state, and will in any case have to appear before the criminal court as a witness. The lawyer Merlini, on the other hand, had to acknowledge that his initiatives, in particular aimed at opposing those of Marini, were rejected in toto.

At this point, therefore, it must also be noted that the possibility of substantial compensation for 200 million euros in damage to Mater Olbia and the accusers of Marini is growing more and more. It is true that notary Lamberto Corda, Lucio Rispo, Mater Olbia Spa, Monte Tabor foundation, in order to oppose Marini, filed briefs outside the deadline granted by 5 November 2021 by judge Dr. Marino. The possibility, therefore, that the hospital could soon find itself under judicial seizure in favor of Marini cannot be ruled out.
How can we not take into account, therefore, that up to now the judicial and media actions carried out by the lawyer Merlini have not produced the desired effects. Alessandro Marini, for his part, continues straight on his own path, without reserving any grudges. To date, both judicial and media actions against the Sardinian manager have been useless, who, in the circumstance, points out that the members of the Emir Althani’s family are only illustrious victims. A possible international fool, therefore, is only at the beginning.
