Geopolitical Change and New International Scenarios – Yesterday, Friday, July 19, 2024, an important event on Geopolitics was held in the Chamber of Deputies, in the beautiful setting of the Sala del Cenacolo.

(ASI) the initiative was promoted by the Milton Friedman Institute in collaboration with the Geocracy, Future Nation Associations, Fe.N.Co (National Federation of Honorary Foreign Diplomats and Consuls) and the Honorary Consulate of Moldova.

The event opened with greetings from the Hon. Andrea Di Giuseppe brought by the presenter Alberto Di Mattià member of the Scientific Committee Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy.

Subsequently, Moderator Pasquale Ferraro took the floor and opened the work of the first panel aimed at discussing the role of international organizations in future geopolitical changes.

The intervention General Donato, given his experience in the nuclear field, spoke of the possible risks of a nuclear war, stressing the difficulty to date of being able to consider the nuclear threat credible in addition to the single psychological deterrence on European states. Subsequently, the Honorary Consul of Moldova, Cons. Roberto Galanti, who stressed the importance of having to enhance the Community’s cooperative ties within a state such as Moldova, which, in addition to Ukraine, is a further border gate between Moscow and Europe. Later it was the Director Luigi Sergio Germani, an important expert in geopolitics and strategic studies, who emphasized the current situation of hybrid wars and the Russian project of disinformation towards the West. The penultimate rapporteur of the ptimo panel was Massimo Maria Caneva Pre-Esidente of AESI (European Association of International Studies) who stressed the centralities of international cooperation in the glam of crisis. The first panel concluded by Pierluigi Sabatini, political scientist and President of Geocracy, who spoke of the need to reform the United Nations taking into account the impossibility of interfering in upheavals within the right of veto.

In the second panel moderated by Francesco Curridori of the Giornale, the possible geopolitical effects of the US vote were discussed. Opening the jobs was George Lombardi, a long-time consultant to former President Donald Trump, reiterating the centrality of President Trump in looking for a way to terminate conflicts through constructive dialogue and a central role of the United States. Subsequently, Antonio Albanese, Director of AGC News, spoke of the strategic and geopolitical bipolarity between China and the USA, focusing on the situation of the peaceful islands that could become a very sensitive area in the event of a re-election of the US Taycoon. Subsequently took the floor Alessandro Bertoldi Executive Director of the Milton Friedman Institute who spoke about the importance of the role of the United States to lead Trump within international peace processes. Beroldi himself then foreshadowed a scenario in which the US will change its approach in the wars currently underway towards effective resolutions for geopolitical stability. Subsequently, the Hon. Souad Sbai who focused on the delicate Middle East issue, emphasizing the importance of the US elections, and in particular the victory of Trump as an essential element to avoid the enlargement of further international crises in other Arab states.

To conclude the work of the second panel was Francesco Giubilei, President of Nation Futura who in his speech dealt with the possible effects of a victory of Trump in future relations with the government of President Meloni. In the final part of his speech, Jubilee also reflected on the Community scenarios that the US vote may entail, confirming all his disappointment with those European policies that are distant from the needs of the nation states and increasingly attentive to propagating a European defence without, however, really having a common Community foreign policy.
